Minimize the Unexpected
New visitors are often outside their comfort zone - how can you meet their courage with comfort? Offer activity recommendations based on skill levels and time availability (half day, full day, weekend, etc). Orientation videos at your site or online can share what to expect and warmly welcome them. Review your web content and publications for language that may be unfamiliar to new visitors. Web content is most accessible when it’s written at a 7th grade reading level and compatible with screen readers. Linked Resources below:
